Hello. My name is Janeth, owner of Ilboru Haven Homes.
I have worked at Tarangire Safari Lodge in Tarangire National Park for many years. I have had the pleasure of escorting people from all over the world into the beautiful wilderness of Tanzania.
Our new guest house is located right next to my house, escorting people to enjoy Tanzanian culture and food closer to where we live.
We would like to welcome you as a member of our family. This is the place you call home. We welcome your visit.
A comfortable stay in Arusha for you
Clean rooms and linens
We make every effort to clean every nook and cranny in our spacious rooms.
Sheets, pillowcases, and towels are washed properly every time (once every 3 days for guests staying consecutive nights).
The smoking area is on the terrace. The air in the rooms is kept clean by frequent ventilation.
All windows are fitted with screens to prevent bugs from coming in.
We have chosen organic body soap and shampoo with a pleasant coconut and lime fragrance to help you relax after a long journey. They're made locally in Arusha.

Dinner on the day of arrival will be served in your room upon request. Below is a sample of our meals.

Light dinner: chapatti and soup

Regular dinner: rice / ugali, fried fish / stew, stir-fried vegetables, salad, steamed potatoes (cassava / seasonal potatoes)

Breakfast: assorted seasonal fruits and chapatti
A Tanzanian-style buffet lunch is also available for guests staying two nights or more.
Stay as if you were living
One room consists of a bedroom, living/dining space, kitchen, and bathroom.
Electric kettle, bottled drinking water, instant coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar, refrigerator, gas stove, pans, pots, knives, cutting boards, other cooking utensils, oil, salt, various seasonings, cloths, microwave oven, toaster, cups, glasses, wine glasses, cutlery, plates, etc. The kitchen is equipped with a kitchenette and a kitchenette.
Upon arrival, you may shop for vegetables, rice, etc. at a nearby store and prepare your own meals.

Morning walk to experience the beauty of nature and people's lives
How about a glimpse into the lives of Tanzanian people before or after your safari or trekking tour? Take a walk for 30 minutes to an hour before breakfast. Take a deep breath while listening to sound of the river. Passing by schools for Tanzanian children and an old church, you might be surprised to see the great view of Mount Meru as you walk up a slope of banana fields. On the way back, you may want to buy some fruits for breakfast at the vegetable stand. We will guide you on such a morning walk, free of charge, exclusively for guests staying at our hotel.

■Room Type
Each room contains a king-size bed. There are no twin rooms available. If a group of 2 persons wishes to have separate beds, please reserve 2 single rooms.
Maximum number of guests can be accommodated in 3 rooms for 2 persons each for a total of 6 persons.
■Dinner and lunch box / hot lunch
Please make reservations at least 3 days prior to arrival date.
■Access
If you are taking a taxi or a pick-up truck from another company, please give a driver our hotel's phone number and ask him to call us before departing. It is a 2-minute walk from Ilboru Safari Lodge.

It takes approximately 15 minutes for the water to re-heat after one person has taken a shower.
